2005 Steps to Recovery

Next year’s event will be bigger with an added goal of raising money to provide financial assistance for those that have the desire but not the means. The walkers will be raising money not for themselves, but to make the program more accessible for the future spinal cord injuries.

Thank you,

All of us at Project Walk®

November 16, 2005 was a sunny, warm day—a perfect day for a celebration. The Project Walk® staff, clients, families, friends, and the local business community came together to support a special group of people, who against all odds, have regained the ability to take steps and walk. All of the participants have suffered a spinal cord injury and all were told they would never walk again. On this day, each proved that recovery is possible. Our first annual Steps to Recovery raised awareness that many spinal cord injuries can beat the odds and regain function with the proper stimulation and environment. This event was designed to celebrate our clients’ accomplishments.
