In order to become a Certified SCI Recovery Apprentice (CSRA™) you are required to complete both online and hands-on training at the Project Walk® Institute in Carlsbad, California. During this program trainers will be exposed to up to date knowledge on spinal cord injuries (SCI). This includes our SCI 101 class, which introduces the trainer to common health concerns, terminology and care of SCI clients. The introduction to The Dardzinski Method™ class presents the Five Phases of Recovery™ and the theory behind Project Walk’s exercise-based recovery program. Finally trainers will receive hands-on training with SCI clients and the Project Walk staff. During those training sessions, Project Walk Instructors will cover basic safety techniques to use with SCI clients and the beginning modalities that all Project Walk Specialists use with their clients.
