It is going to be a great year at Project Walk®!

2009 has started out with a bang! On January 7, at a little after 9:00am, one of our long time clients who is classified as a chronic C3 spinal cord injury took his first real step!

Kevin K., who has been with us for over four years, is a role model for all spinal cord injuries. He came to Project Walk with no movement and no control below his level of injury. He could shrug his shoulders and barely move his arms. Kevin’s recovery has not been fast but he has improved steadily over the years. He has rejoiced with breakthroughs and has suffered through long plateaus. But he continues each day and with his iron will, he will never give up. Kevin has already reserved his spot in our 2009 Steps to Recovery event on Saturday, October 24. The only question will be how many steps he can take by then.

We are all very proud of Kevin -- he has accomplished so much over the years!
