injury. Michael was told by his doctors that his prognosis for ever walking again was not very positive, and he would most likely be in a power chair for life.
After he was released from the hospital, Michael went into traditional outpatient rehabilitation. He was getting stronger and function was slowly returning, but for him it wasn’t enough, he wanted more. After going through approximately six different hospitals and not seeing any of the results he wanted, he came to Project Walk®. Michael heard about Project Walk® through a good friend and decided to try our program in hopes that we would supply him with a home program that would provide guidance and ability to help him to gain more function. During his first two weeks, Michael showed us that he has the potential and the ability to meet his goals of recovery. He will be working out with his home program and will be back for an update as he continues to improve.
If you would like to contact Michael, please post on our message board.
Michael was injured in the summer of 2004 when he was in a roll over car accident. He was immediately taken to Desert Regional hospital in Palm Springs, were he was treated and diagnosed with a C-5 incomplete spinal cord
